Julia Shea became St Peter’s Girls’ 12th Principal at the start of 2014. Julia served more than a decade as Deputy Head (Head of Learning and Teaching) at Newington College, a respected all-boys’ school in Sydney. Prior to that, she was Newington’s Head of Mathematics, a discipline she remains extremely passionate about. Julia is a leading advocate of single- sex education, who enrolled her three daughters at St Peter’s Girls when she joined the School community. Under her leadership, the School has undertaken a series of building works to transform the campus for the learners of tomorrow. She has also guided a comprehensive Strategic Plan featuring initiatives across areas including academics, wellbeing and co-curricular.

Featuring seven cutting-edge laboratories and impressive breakout areas, the Science Centre makes every day a new discovery at St Peter’s Girls. The building has also doubled the size of our Visual Arts space and delivered a new Junior School Art hub. Our previous Science facility has been transformed with a dedicated Media Hub featuring sophisticated filming, lighting and editing equipment to elevate digital learning. In addition, our Junior School has been reimagined with new classrooms, breakout areas and a Year 6 Centre to further empower our girls.
The School completed a series of key projects: expanding our Early Learners’ Centre, increasing parking spaces and access to additional sporting facilities in neighbouring Bell Yett Reserve, installing high speed network services to boost online learning, building a new Middle School and opening a new Library. One of our biggest achievements is our new Science Centre which has cemented Saints Girls as a national

• In Business, Enterprise and Technologies, 91% of students received ‘A’ grades (State figure: 27%). • In English, 78% recorded ‘A’ grades (State figure: 32%). In the IB, the School’s median score was 37, equating to an ATAR of 95.45, and the median SA university selection rank was 98.50. Our 2020 IB cohort of 16 students was our biggest to date, with more than 60 Saints Girls graduating from the Diploma Programme since it began at the School in 2014. 45 of our 65 Year 12 students secured early entry to the University of Adelaide and Flinders University after applying for pathway programs based on their Year 11 grades.
Saints Girls’ percentage of SACE Stage 2 grades in the ‘A’ band was a phenomenal 73%, compared with 66% in 2019 and 63% in 2018. This emphasises our dedication to consistent academic improvement and far exceeds the State figure of 30%. Our SACE students flourished across all subject areas, in particular: • The percentage of Mathematics grades in the ‘A’ band was 63%, more than doubling the State figure of 31%. In General Mathematics specifically, 83% of our students achieved ‘A’ grades.
Our Year 12 Class of 2020 reinforced our tradition of success across the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, achieving these incredible highlights: • Median ATAR – 94.05 • 43% with an ATAR of 95+ (top 5% nationally) • 41 Merit Awards Equal Duxes of the School Ella Liddy and Ellen Zhang achieved an IB score of 43 out of 45, earning an ATAR of 99.55, a South Australian university selection rank of 99.95 and 5 merits.

Also in 2020, a group of Year 11 students were runners up in the University of Adelaide’s Shark Tank eSchool challenge for a recycling initiative, and Saints Girls won the competition in 2019 for their work in modifying a clubfoot brace for Bangladeshi children. Another STEM highlight is our annual Girls in Tech Expo, where students from local primary schools join our girls for a day of interactive workshops covering robotics, coding, drone technology and more. These initiatives have elevated the School’s standing as an educational leader in STEM, with more of our graduates selecting fields such as engineering for their university studies to pursue the careers of tomorrow.
Our offerings have resulted in much success. In recent years, various teams of girls have claimed State and National prizes in the Subs in Schools engineering challenge. Other STEM students have dominated the Next Tech Girl Superhero competition, winning a host of National awards for initiatives such as designing an app that connects retired people with volunteering opportunities. In 2020, two of our girls studying Artificial Intelligence (AI) were crowned SA/NT champions in the Microsoft AI for Good Schools Challenge for their concept of an advanced drone system to prevent and detect bushfires. Another of our teams took out the National title the previous year.
In 2020, Saints Girls launched a dedicated Media Hub complete with industry-standard production equipment. Our students are also exploring their creativity in our new Maker Space which features a resin- based 3D printer, laser cutter and robotics components. Our Strategic Plan instigated the doubling of school-supplied tablet devices in 2017. Now, all girls from Reception to Year 6 have sole use of a school-supplied iPad. Girls in Years 7 to 12 work on their own laptops to explore, solve and create. On the curriculum front, innovative elective subjects at Year 10 such as Business, Innovation and Technology, Forensic Science and Engineering rapidly changing world around us. In fact, our creative approach to STEM teaching in Year 10 has been recognised with our inclusion on The Educator’s list of Innovative Schools. for Global Change reflect our commitment to STEM and the

#EMPOW HER The School delivers a groundbreaking wellbeing program
tailor-made for our families. #EMPOW HER was developed
specifically for our girls following comprehensive surveys of students and parents. The curriculum for Years 7 to 12 flows into Home Group sessions twice a week. Our girls are provided with a range of tools to tackle various challenges facing young women including stress, mental health, self-esteem, sleep and social media. OUTDOOR EDUCATION At St Peter’s Girls, we encourage our students to challenge their thinking well beyond the classroom walls. Our Outdoor Education Program develops resilience and tenacity, while also instilling the value of teamwork. All students from Years 1 to 12 are involved in our structured program of school camps, retreats and study tours which allow girls to explore, discover and take supervised and controlled risks in a supportive and safe environment. GLOBAL ACADEMY The Global Academy aims to build a culture of respect, empowerment and passion where students are encouraged to make a difference both locally and globally. The program allows our girls to not only learn about the world, but also experience it and share their knowledge with others. The Global Academy has three disciplines: contributing to charities and not-for-profit organisations, making global connections through our curriculum and undertaking annual exchanges with partner schools in Canada, America, China, Japan and the UK. EDGE PROGRAM Gifted and talented students are entitled to rigorous, relevant and engaging learning opportunities. The EDGE Program (Extended, Differentiated and Gifted Education) ensures these needs are met through enrichment, extension and acceleration. Activities focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Philosophy, Critical Literacy and Creative Problem Solving. Participating students leave their regular classes for one lesson per week to work in extension groups. FUTURES Unique to our Middle School, the Futures Program introduces the
concept of Entrepreneurship. Students in Years 7 and 8 engage in personalised learning experiences, enabling each to pursue her passions and talents to excel in her own way. The program is based on creativity, innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset. Girls are encouraged to seek out an authentic problem or issue worth solving. Being exposed to real-life experts and mentors in our community is an important step in the journey, which culminates in a vibrant expo showcasing the girls’ entrepreneurial work.

BUSINESS, INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY Business, Innovation and Technology is offered to Year 10 students as an elective, providing industry experience in how technology is used in a business context. Students focus on four topics selected based on industry relevance: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Food Trucks, Business Intelligence and Design. This innovative subject caters for different levels of interest and confidence in the development and use of technology. It has already resulted in much success, with Saints Girls winning a National AI challenges in 2019 and 2020.
INTENSIVE LANGUAGES PROGRAM In 2016, based on the success of a pilot project, the School introduced a new Intensive Languages Program for our Junior School students which has already established Saints Girls as a leader in language education in South Australia. Reception to Year 3 students take part in two language lessons a week in either French or Chinese. The intensity of language learning increases as girls in Years 4, 5 and 6 participate in four lessons per week.
As students progress to Year 7, they can elect to study Chinese or French for the three years of Middle School. These languages are also options for Senior School students, who
have English and entry-level Spanish as additional foreign language choices as well.

MIND LAB Mind Lab is taught from Reception to Year 6. It uses hands-on strategy board games to develop cognitive, social, emotional and ethical thinking skills that span all learning areas. The methodology encourages risk-taking and flexible thinking. Mind Lab teaches students how to think strategically, work interdependently, apply a wide range of problem-solving strategies and reflect upon their effectiveness. Our girls are encouraged to transfer the learning from their game playing sessions to situations they encounter in the classroom and their daily lives.
TUTOR PROGRAM The St Peter’s Girls’ School Tutor Program is a free service provided to Years 7 to 12 students. Its purpose is to nurture positive study habits while supporting girls to understand their classroom learning and consolidate their knowledge. This is a highly flexible program that students can use at scheduled times. Our tutors are all recent Old Scholars who know the demands of being a student. DA VINCI DECATHLON St Peter’s Girls enjoys the distinction of being South Australia’s Chapter School in hosting the annual da Vinci Decathlon. The three-day event invites teams of middle and upper primary students from schools across Adelaide to compete in 10 disciplines including Art and Poetry, Mathematics and Engineering. The Decathlon began in 2002 as an exciting offshoot of the highly successful da Vinci Program for gifted and talented students at Knox Grammar in Sydney. Named after one of the world’s greatest thinkers and scholars, the competition places a particular emphasis on higher- order thinking skills, problem-solving, teamwork and creativity.

GIRLS IN TECH EXPO St Peter’s Girls’ annual Girls in Tech Expo has become a fixture on the STEM calendar, creating valuable industry connections. Each year, we welcome Years 6 and 7 girls from local schools to join our students for a day of dynamic seminars and workshops hosted by a variety of industry experts. Girls explore virtual reality, drone technology, driverless cars, humanoid robots and much more. The event continues to grow, with recent highlights including piloting drones, testing out augmented reality and exploring music technology by mixing hip hop beats.

space, our ELC is now comprised of two captivating Learning Communities: one for the Stonyfell and Bell Yett rooms (children aged 2 to 3.5 years), and another for the Ferguson and Hallett rooms (children aged 3.5 to 5 years). Attendance is 2 – 5 days a week, with our 4 and 5 year olds required to attend a minimum of 3 days. We also offer weekly Playgroup sessions for children aged 6 months flexible and stimulating Vacation Care program each school holiday period for ELC students aged 2 to 5. A unique feature of the ELC is its location, right next to the spectacular Ferguson Conservation Park which has become a key habitat for the children’s learning. Another exclusive aspect is the ability for girls who start in the ELC to continue their educational journey into Reception and beyond, all on to 2 years accompanied by their parents or carers, and we run a

Under a new, research-based model to enhance children’s relationships through longer periods of time in one

It operates for 50 weeks of the year. The Centre is closed on public holidays. CHILD CARE SUBSIDY St Peter’s Girls’ ELC is an Approved Child Care Centre and therefore registered for the Child Care Subsidy. Eligible families can claim a subsidy for all long day care programs. To receive the Child Care Subsidy, families must meet immunisation requirements. Further information regarding eligibility is available from the Department of Human Services .

Through music, sport and many other activities, we encourage our girls to delve into their skills and passions. The Year 5 Production is a major highlight, allowing our students to develop confidence as they explore acting, song and dance. Girls gain further life experience on a variety of camps and study trips aimed at building resilience and inquiry. In Year 6, students have the opportunity to take on extra responsibilities as Peer Leaders, becoming role models for our younger girls. In recent years, our Junior School has introduced a number of excellent initiatives aimed at taking our teaching and learning to the next level. The School has: • Transformed the delivery of literacy learning • Expanded our Mathematics offering with additional teachers, enhanced pedagogies and a new structure • Introduced a School-funded 1:1 iPad program for Reception to Year 6 students
These are the fundamental years of schooling, in which our students develop firm foundations in literacy and numeracy, as well as personal, social and emotional skills that enable them to be successful, resourceful and resilient young learners. Incorporating the Australian Curriculum, the Junior School teaching and learning program and methodologies are based on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), covering Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, The Arts, Science, and Health and Physical Education. Through inquiry, action and reflection, the IB philosophy aims to develop a range of competencies and dispositions that include skills for thinking, working with others, communicating, self- management and research. In addition, students engage in a variety of lessons taught by specialist teachers such as Languages, Technologies, Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, and Guided Inquiry and Research. YEAR 10 In Year 10, students study English, Mathematics, Science, History, Physical Education and the SACE Stage 1 Personal Learning Plan. Students can also select elective subjects from a variety of areas to broaden and support their learning and developing interests. Options could include Business, Innovation and Technology, Forensic Science, Film Production, Justice and Society, Engineering for Global Change, High Performance Physical Fitness and Game Analysis, World of Food and Psychology.
Options within The Arts faculty include Music, Visual Arts, Drama and Dance. Languages on offer are French, Chinese and Japanese. The Personal Learning Plan is a compulsory SACE subject, undertaken in Year 10 at St Peter’s Girls. Students consider their aspirations by researching career, training and further study choices. By mapping their future, they identify their learning goals and plan how they can be achieved. A practical component of this course is a formal workplace learning placement, which provides a real-world learning opportunity.
Our Senior School curriculum provides Years 10 to 12 students with flexibility and choice as they take responsibility for their own learning under the guidance of our expert teaching staff. We encourage them to embrace co-curricular activities and the community spirit of the School. SACE The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is an internationally-recognised qualification that leads to a variety of tertiary studies, training and career opportunities. At St Peter’s Girls, students complete SACE requirements over a three-year period by starting the Personal Learning Plan in Year 10. Year 11 students study the SACE Stage 1 subjects (including a full year of English and at least a semester of Mathematics), as well as the Stage 2 Research Project, where they gain valuable research, referencing and analytical skills. In Year 12, students complete their Stage 2 subjects.
At St Peter’s Girls, students can choose from 24 SACE subjects across a range of disciplines. In making their selections, girls are supported to gain the skills and knowledge they need to successfully engage in their future careers and life choices. IB DIPLOMA An IB education aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring graduates who create a better world through intercultural understanding and responsibility. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an exciting and challenging two-year course that leads to a highly-regarded qualification, which prepares students for success in lifelong learning and opens doors globally for tertiary studies.
The IB Diploma curriculum emphasises both breadth and depth of knowledge. Students study six subjects and three core components: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) and the Extended Essay (EE). Theory of Knowledge provides the skills to critique knowledge, CAS is a creativity, physical activity and service programme, and the Extended Essay engages students in independent research.
Students choose three subjects to study at a higher level and three subjects at a standard level across multiple disciplines. Subjects include English Literature, Chinese Language and Literature, French, Japanese or entry-level Spanish, Economics, Global Politics, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Visual Arts. MUSIC The School’s multi award-winning Music program combines all the right notes to foster a passion for performance and music in all of its forms. More than half of our students play an instrument or learn voice. The School runs over 20 co-curricular ensembles with almost 300 girls participating in weekly rehearsals. In 2020, our Music students attracted national and international accolades across a host of competitions and activities. Three vocal groups scored Gold at the inaugural Southern Stars online showcase of the Australian National Choral Association, with two crowned overall division winners. Our girls also shone at the ABODA (Australian Band and Orchestra Directors’ Association) SA School Band and Orchestra Music Festival, with our Senior Strings and Concert Band achieving Gold amongst other outstanding results. The School’s epic Cabaret Music Concert has become a feature of our events schedule, showcasing collaborations with acclaimed performers.
All middle and senior girls participate in our annual Choral Night and can also extend their talents in our biennial School Musical. Another highlight is the annual Music Camp, where Music students from Years 5 to 12 build a culture of family within ensembles across the year levels. Saints Girls enjoy fantastic live performance opportunities on stage, on air and in collaboration with world-renowned artists and composers. Our Jazz Vocal ensemble Enchanté even has an album on Spotify . Music is embraced by all year groups and we provide a coordinated academic pathway for girls who wish to continue studying music throughout their senior schooling and beyond. DANCE From our ELC through to Year 12, students are given countless opportunities to experience the joy of dance. Our Winter Concert, Year 5 Production and biennial School Musical provide a stage for our girls to perform in front of live audiences. Our curriculum features a tailored pathway leading to Year 12 study that aims to develop technique, performance skills and cultural understandings. Students experience
the industry first-hand, with workshops involving local and interstate choreographers and teachers, as well excursions to professional performances.

DRAMA Drama plays a respected role at St Peter’s Girls. Our dedicated staff give students the skills and direction they need to flourish, both on stage and behind the scenes. Specialist workshops are also held throughout the year to empower our students through practical exercises and theoretical wisdom. We facilitate a number of excursions as well as inviting artists to perform at the School. The School’s curriculum introduces Drama at a young age, fostering a passion for theatre that can lead to studies in Years 11 and 12 where students perform dynamic works each year.

VISUAL ARTS In late 2019, St Peter’s Girls unveiled brand new Visual Arts facilities, doubling the previous floor space and delivering a dedicated Junior School Art hub. The School’s Visual Arts curriculum stimulates and inspires our Reception to Year 12 students to explore their creativity, push the boundaries and challenge their thinking.
Each year, our SACE and IB Diploma students illustrate their talents in vibrant exhibitions, gaining valuable real-world experience. It is this creative support, combined with our enthusiastic educators and first-class resources that set Saints Girls apart in Visual Arts.
Our girls are given the guidance and freedom to express their individuality in anything from paint to plaster. While traditional art is extremely prominent, technology has also become a major focus. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the latest design software and equipment to produce a range of dynamic artworks and products.

In Rowing, our 1st VIII and other elite crews were crowned 2020 State Champions. In addition, our teams have achieved outstanding results in sports such as Hockey, Badminton, Tennis, Softball, Water Polo, Aerobics, Basketball, Touch Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Lacrosse, Netball, Soccer and more. In short, our girls’ passion for sport is undeniable. Above and beyond the official sports offered by St Peter’s Girls, we embrace and support other options to cater for student and staff interest and expertise.
St Peter’s Girls provides many opportunities for our students to participate in sport and to study it as well. Physical Education is taught right throughout the year levels and, as girls enter their senior schooling, they can extend their learning, including having the choice of a special High Performance subject in Year 10. There are also many opportunities for our senior students to coach younger girls in sport each week. Our School is enjoying unprecedented success in the sporting arena. In 2020, Saints Girls claimed the coveted IGSSA Athletics Shield for an incredible fifth year running, and won the overall Swimming Shield for the fourth time in five years.

STUDENT SUPPORT Junior School students belong to a class, while Middle and Senior School students are allocated to Home Groups. Their class or Home Group teacher is their primary contact, providing pastoral care and guiding them on the path to success and happiness. This structure helps fuel the self-belief of our girls and their ability to address issues such as personal and cyber safety, study skills and time management.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS St Peter’s Girls is on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), enabling international students to join our community. The School can arrange accredited homestay accommodation, which costs a fraction of the price of typical school boarding facilities. International students enjoy a comprehensive support network including a dedicated International Student Coordinator, personal counselling, EALD teaching and access to specialised tutoring. In the senior years, their Home Group allocation is based on their School House. They stay with the same Home Group teacher for those senior years which fosters continuity of support. Students also have a strong connection with their Head of Sub-School, and can access the School’s clinical psychologist, nurses, Lay Chaplain and the coordinator of Student Services.

CLUBS Beyond our Arts and sport offerings, our girls can join a variety of clubs, committees and programs that appeal to their interests and curiosities. Opportunities could include public speaking, debating, Chess Club, Environment Club, Library Club, Code Club, Lego League and Philosophy Club.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP Various leadership opportunities provide our girls with valuable qualities and experience which they can use in later life. In Year 6, all students have a role, undertaking a special leadership program involving workshops and mentoring. In Year 9, girls can become Middle School Leaders. Opportunities also exist in other year levels in areas such as Sport and Music. Students in Years 11 and 12 can be inducted into the School’s formal Prefect system, building their skills while acting as role models to younger girls.
CHAPEL Chapel services are held throughout each term, allowing our girls to develop and strengthen core values. Led by the School’s Chaplain, the services embody our Anglican principles and traditions through song and prayer. They offer a time for reflection and are a key component of our pastoral care.

POCKET POINTS The Pocket Points program is a popular and prestigious honours system within St Peter’s Girls. It recognises Middle and Senior School students for excellence and dedicated representation of the School. Girls earn points for their House in areas such as Sport, Music, Debating, Community Service and Chapel. When a set amount of points is accumulated, the recognition is displayed across the student’s blazer pocket through stripes and embroidered initials.
HOUSE SYSTEM An integral part of the School’s fabric is our House system. Generations of students at St Peter’s Girls have belonged to one of four Houses: Kennion, Kilburn, Patteson or Selwyn. The Houses are named after key figures in our School’s history. For decades, these four Houses have inspired healthy rivalry through academic, sporting and cultural competitions. House events also include Choral Night, an annual dinner and Spirit Week, as well as charitable activities.

A scholarship at St Peter’s Girls’
MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS Each year, a limited number of Music Scholarships may be awarded to students entering Years 7 to 11 recognising outstanding talent. Applicants are required to submit formal documentation and audition as part of the process. Applications are considered twice a year.
Many scholarships are available to new students who might otherwise not have the opportunity to attend the School. Criteria include school reports, examination results, a personal interview and, in the case of Music Scholarships, performance. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS Academic Scholarships are awarded annually to students entering Years 5 to 11. Applicants are required to complete the annual Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) scholarship examination. The level of remission available varies for each year level.

PRINCIPAL’S SCHOLARSHIPS These scholarships are awarded to external students entering Years 7 to 11 who have a strong academic record and a proven ability to perform at an elite level in an extra-curricular pursuit; for example, State-level sport or outstanding achievement and leadership in Performing Arts.
OLD SCHOLARS’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS Each year, an Old Scholars’ Association Scholarship may be awarded to a student entering Years 5 to 8. This scholarship is awarded through to Year 12 to a prospective student who has proven all-round ability. Additionally, the applicant must have a connection to the School through a family member having attended St Peter’s Girls in the past.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE SCHOLARSHIPS St Peter’s Girls offers two entrance scholarships to external students who wish to undertake the IB Diploma. The IB Scholarship is awarded for Years 10, 11 and 12 or Years 11 and 12. The level of remission is determined by the Principal.

WINIFRED PREEDY (1919) After completing her education at St Peter’s Girls’ School in 1919, Winifred Preedy went on to study Dentistry at the University of Adelaide. In 1927, she became only the second woman in South Australia to graduate from Dentistry, paving the way for a long and illustrious career as a dentist in Adelaide. Winifred, or Wyn as she liked to be called, was a key figure in our School’s history for many reasons, including her presidency and support of the Old Scholars’ Association. Today, the Winifred Preedy Scholarship for 100% remission of school fees is our most prestigious scholarship, awarded to an internal or external student entering Year 8.
HON JULIE BISHOP (KILBURN 1973) Julie Bishop graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide in 1978 and attended Harvard Business School in Boston in 1996, completing the Advanced Management Program. Julie was elected to the House of Representatives as the Member for Curtin in 1998 and was Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party from 2007 to 2018. She served as a Minister in a range of portfolios including Foreign Affairs from 2015 to 2018 and was Acting Prime Minister. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Adelaide in 2017. In early 2020, she commenced the role of Chancellor of the Australian National University.
MELANIE COOPER AM (KENNION 1977)
Melanie Cooper became the first female and the first of the fifth generation to be employed at the family’s iconic Coopers Brewery on a permanent basis. After completing a degree in Economics, she was employed by Price Waterhouse as a Chartered Accountant. She joined the brewery in 1985 as assistant accountant, and in 1989, was appointed Company Secretary and later Director of Finance. Melanie has been Director of Coopers Brewery since 2009 and Chair of its Foundation since 2011, with Board positions on other industry-related and charitable foundations. In 2014, she was invited to join the Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership for a three-year term.
KATIE SARAH (NEE SCOTT, KILBURN 1985) Katie Sarah has a Bachelor of Business, Graduate Diploma from Securities Institute of Australia and a Master of Professional Accounting. She owns Sarah Mountain Journeys Pty Ltd, operating treks and mountain climbing expeditions around the world. In May 2010, she became the first South Australian woman and the sixth Australian woman to climb Mt Everest. In June 2013, she became the first South Australian woman to complete climbing the highest peak on each of the seven continents, and in January 2018, became the first woman in the world to also complete the seven highest volcanic summits, known as the Seven Sevens challenge.
DR LAURA EADIE (SELWYN 2001) Laura Eadie’s love of Science began at Saints Girls. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) with Honours in 2006 and her PhD in Medicine (2013) earned her a Laura was the recipient of a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship and spent a year working in Memphis, Tennessee under the supervision of world leaders in high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukaemia research. In April 2019, Laura was the latest recipient of the Peter Nelson Leukaemia Research Fellowship established by the Hon Marjorie Jackson-Nelson to support some of South Australia’s outstanding leukaemia researchers. Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence.
EMILY MURDOCK (KILBURN 2017) 2017 Dux of IB and overall Dux of the School Emily Murdock achieved a perfect IB score (45 out of 45 / 99.95 ATAR equivalent), one of only two students in South Australia to do so in that year. As a result of her hard work, she was accepted to study at Harvard University in the USA. Before leaving for Harvard, Emily maintained strong connections with the School, sharing her knowledge and experiences with current students as part of the Old Scholar Tutor Program, and assisting with sports teams.
